  Highspeed trains need extremely accurate positioned tracks to offer comfortable traveling and to optimize the livetime of track and wheels.

  The worldwide leader of railroad construction equipment uses MEMO CARDs in an measurement system to record the widht of the track, the angle and the position. This is important for clean and smoth movement of the trains wheels on the track.
  Todays highspeed trains demand for especially accurate tracks which are controlled and position by special equipment:

Construction plans give the exact position of the track in relation to reference points - this data is written on a MEMO CARD in the office.

Data is transported on MEMO CARDs to the track measurement system.

This system adds actual measurement values on the MEMO CARD too.

The next step of data-transport is the data transfer to the track-positioning vehicle. In case the reference- and actual-value differs more than 5mm this machine corrects the track position.
