SERIAL DATALOGGER INTERFACE

  The "SERIAL DATALOGGER INTERFACE" together with the MEMO DRIVE PAR gives an automatic data logger on the serial printer port.

     Combined with a MEMO DRIVE PAR, the ""SERIAL DATALOGGER INTERFACE" extends a serial printer port into an independent data logger system.
  Depending on the setting of the "function mode switch", the MEMO DRIVE PAR + SERIAL DATA LOGGER INTERFACE automatically read from or write to the inserted MEMO CARD. Storing valuable data on the contactless MEMO CARD results in an unrevealed data safety and extraordinary comfortable handling.

   Every file that is transmitted over the serial connection is automatically written to an inserted MEMO CARD.

AUTOMATIC CARD CHECK

  As soon as the data log interface is turned on, it checks for an inserted card. The unit adjusts to the card type identified and searches for the beginning of the unwritten portion of the card.

AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

Data format and transfer parameters are adjusted via standardized jumpers. Automatic configuration via an inserted MEMO CARD is optional. In this case, MEMOWIN automatically loads the desired configuration from the MEMO CARD. Once turned on, the data log interface loads the desired parameters and configures the interface accordingly.

LEDs DISPLAYS

There are three outputs for LED display control: for POWER ON; for CARD INSERTED; and for BUSY, indicate the operational status of the system.

CUSTOMIZED I/Os

By default jumpers 9 and 10 are used for the read/write mode. Jumpers 3A through 8 are used for interface configuration. By request, control and addressing of these switches by the operating system can be customized.

BAUD RATE SETTINGS

   In order to adjust to terminal requirements the transmission speed for data transfer on the SERIAL DATA LOG INTERFACE is adjustable between 1200 and 115200 baud.

  MEMOWIN, the WINDOWS software for MEMO CARD data handling, ideally complements the MEMO DATTALOGGER BOX used with a PC.

  MEMOWIN is a WINDOWS program that installs itself and is easy to configure. 115K bit/s over the serial port provide the necessary speed.

  MEMOWIN offers multiple window technology for reading a card, editing data, and saving files.

  Measuring systems,industrial CNC-machines , and other serial ports that require special protocols, use the MEMO DATALOGGER BOX.

  Driver software in DOS, Visual Basic, C++ and a WINDOWS DLL are included in the package for building individual programs, as well as a demoversion of our WINDOWs NT driver version.
